Deacon Thady and His Life

Every story of faith begins with a test — and Deacon Thady’s journey is one of endurance, gratitude, and unwavering belief.

Born and raised in Killarney, County Kerry, Thady has spent his life serving others through compassion and prayer. But it was during one of his darkest hours that his light grew strongest.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Thady spent three and a half months in the hospital, including two months on a ventilator. Each breath was a battle — yet every moment drew him closer to God. What could have been an ending became a calling. His recovery wasn’t just physical; it was deeply spiritual.

Today, his message rings clear: faith can carry us through even the quietest storms.

Welcome to Deacon Thady’s World of Faith and Inspiration. Where stories heal, songs comfort, and hope is found again.

Family — The Heart of His Ministry

At the center of Thady’s life is his family — his wife Carmel, and children Patrice, Clodagh, Ronan, and Evelyn. Their love and support form the foundation of his journey.

In the photo below stand his loved ones — a reflection of the warmth, unity, and faith that define his life. For Thady, family is the living example of God’s grace.

His dedication to home mirrors his commitment to his parish. He often reminds others that faith begins in the family and grows through love.

The CD: Songs of Faith and Reflection

Born from a journey of survival and gratitude, “Your Breath Is Your Hope” is a collection of healing hymns that carried Deacon Thady O’Connor through his recovery from COVID-19.

Created in collaboration with Fergus O’Sullivan, this album captures moments of prayer, peace, and divine strength.

Each track was chosen for its power to comfort, calm, and reconnect the listener to faith — reminding us that even in silence, God speaks through music.

A Message From Thady

“These hymns held me through my darkest days. When I could not speak, I could still listen. And in that listening, I found God’s voice again.”

Each song is more than melody — it’s a breath of faith, a quiet prayer, and a reminder that hope never runs out when faith leads the way.
